TigerTunes.com - Help

For those of you who have rarely shopped on line, here are some tips on how to navigate the terrain and how to listen to and/or buy Michael's music.

If you are a bit confused by all this web-stuff, be sure to read this entire document!

I just want to buy a CD right now. What do I have to do?

Simply click on the TigerTunes mp3.com Banner wherever you see it (it's on the TigerTunes.com homepage). You will be sent to the TigerTunes mp3.com online store. From there, just click on the blue "in stock" button and you'll be able to add the CD to your shopping cart and then check out using a credit card.

The TigerTunes mp3.com Banner looks like this:

If you click on this now, you'll be sent directly to the TigerTunes mp3.com store!

The blue "in stock" button that you should look for at the TigerTunes mp3.com store looks like this:

Don't bother clicking on it here...it doesn't link to anything from here. Be sure to click on it when you get to the TigerTunes mp3.com store so you can order your CD!

What is this "TigerTunes mp3.com Online Store" you keep talking about?

Our music is sold through a special website music store called "mp3.com," the same way that different record labels sell their music at different stores in the "real" world. For example, you may go to "Tower Records" to buy music from your favorite artist or recording label. The same principle works here. TigerTunes has a special section on "mp3.com" that allows us to sell CDs online. You'll specify which CDs you want to buy from TigerTunes, then you'll enter your credit card and place your order. Wherever you see the TigerTunes mp3.com Banner (see above), you will be able to jump directly to our special section of the store and buy CDs.

How do I find out more details about the CDs you are selling, like information about Michael Lorimer or the history of the music?

Just look for the words "CD Information" on the main TigerTunes homepage. There is a link to information about our first CD "Learn more about Celebration for Segovia." Click on that link and you will be taken to a special page that describes in detail the music on the CD. Do the same for learning about Michael Lorimer...just click on the "Learn more about Michael Morimer" link!

These "information" pages will always be listed on the TigerTunes.com homepage. And getting to the TigerTunes homepage is easy! Just enter the web address http://tigertunes.com in your web browser, and you'll be sent right there every time.

OK, I just bought some CDs. How do I specify where I want 1/3rd of the profits to be donated to?

Unfortunately, we can't have your donation made automatically when you purchase the CD (the mp3.com online music store can't customize orders for us to that extent). Fortunately, we've made it as easy as filling out a simple form on our website, plus you get the opportunity to be added to our mailing list in order to stay informed of new releases! After you have purchased your CD from our mp3 online store, return to our website and click on the "Here's where you can pick your donation!" link on the homepage. You'll see a form that will allow you to specify a donation organization.

Here's what the Donation link looks like on our main page:

I was looking at your Online Store, and it said I could listen to your music on my computer by downloading something called "mp3 music files." What are they?

MP3 music files are simply computer files that contain music, the same way a word processing file contains a bunch of words that make up a document. MP3 is the name of the format, and is usually at the end of a filename (like "song.mp3"), the same way Microsoft Word uses DOC and the end of filenames (like "report.doc").

We are using the MP3 format as a way to give away some of our songs. You can download these MP3 files for free on our TigerTunes mp3.com Online Store. To hear the songs, you can play them on your computer using an MP3 Player. For more information about how to get MP3 players (they're usually free, too!), please visit this MP3 for Beginners Page on mp3.com. Once you're set up with an MP3 player, you'll be able download and play high-quality songs right on your computer!

Why are we essentially giving away some of our songs? Well, you wouldn't buy clothes without trying them on, would you? We want you to be able to hear examples of the music before you decide to buy our CDs. The MP3 format is the best way for us to give away some of our music.
